James Leon Danley – Obituary

James Leon Danley, 69, of Florence passed away Dec. 9, 2011, of an extended illness.  He was retired from Essex Wire and a member of the Church of Christ.

Mr. Danley was survived by his wife Betty Ann McMurtrey Danley;  sons Michael Danley (Amanda), Jason Danley (Wendy);  daughter Amy Danley Newton (Bobby);  sister Sue Danley Owens (Noot);  grandchildren Noah Danley, Jonah Danley, and Spencer Newton;  special nephew and niece Donnie Pitts and Barbara Clemons;  special great-great nephew Luke White;  and numerous other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Walter and Reba Dora Richardson Danley, his sister Lorene Danley Pitts, and a twin sister.

Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011 from noon to 4 p.m at Greenhill Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m.  with Brother Tim Grigsby and Brother Miles Stutts officiating.  Burial will be in Atlas Cemetery.
